Plain language, because families trusting us with their kids deserve that. If anything here is unclear, email us and we'll explain.
What we collect
When you request a tutor or apply to tutor, we collect what you type into the form: a name, a grade or school, an email, a subject, rough availability, and any notes you add. When a tutor logs hours, we store the name, the hours, the subject, and the date. That's it. We don't track you across the web or run advertising.
Why we collect it
We use it for one thing: running the tutoring. A request is used to match a student with a tutor and to email you back. An application is used to review and approve tutors. Logged hours are kept so we can verify volunteer hours later.
Who can see it
The student leaders who run Honors Learning Academy. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with outside companies or organizations. If we ever use a service to store this data (for example, a database provider), it is only to run the program, never to market to you.
Students under 13
Our forms are meant to be filled out by a parent or guardian for younger students. We ask for a parent or guardian email on tutoring requests for exactly this reason. If you believe a child under 13 submitted information without a guardian, email us and we'll remove it.
Removing your information
Email us at any time and ask us to delete what you've shared, and we will. You don't need a reason.

This is a plain-language summary, not a legal contract. As Honors Learning Academy completes its 501(c)(3) registration, we may publish a more formal policy. We'll keep it honest either way.
